ILLUSTRATOR

Your job is to illustrate a key symbol or scene in the chapter providing key concepts you want to emphasize. Make sure to include a quote from the book to catch the essence of what you are trying to emphasize. Make sure to Cite the location by including the page number in parentheses. You can draw the picture and then scan it. At that point, we can insert as a picture to the wiki.
Just a quick update on how we were able to deal with the pictures. here are the directions.

  1. Scan your picture.
  2. Make sure it is oriented the correct way when it appears on photodraw.
  3. Save as jpeg in the class folder.
  4. Click the picture icon , browse for the picture and upload. Then click 2x on the icon for the picture to be installed.
  5. Once the picture is installed, click on it so that the handles are created along the edges. Use those handles to resize the picture to an appropriate size.
  6. Make sure you add your initials before you save. I think it would be a good double check to make sure your quote is legible and the page number is cited.

Chapter 1 11/4/08
"
I unscrewed the lid and set it aside. 'You can go,' I said. But the bees remained there, like planes on a runway not knowing they'd been cleared for takeoff. They crawled on their stalk legs around the curved permimeters of the glass as if the world had shrunk to that jar. I tapped the glass, even laid the jar on its side, but those crazy bees stayed put." (Page 28) M.B.

"The big shock, though, was all the pictures of Mary being presented with a lily by the angel Gabriel. In every one, where he showed up to tell her she was going to have the baby of babies, even though she wasn't married yet, he had a big white lily for her."
